1. Futures trading involves substantial risk
You can lose all of the money committed to trading. Depending on the product, account agreement, market event, and applicable protections, losses may exceed the amount initially deposited or the margin posted. Futures, options on futures, security futures, foreign exchange, contracts for difference, and other leveraged products are not suitable for everyone.
Do not trade with money needed for housing, food, healthcare, taxes, debt payments, emergencies, retirement, education, or other essential obligations. Only you and your qualified advisers can determine whether a product, strategy, or level of risk is appropriate for you.
2. Leverage, margin, and liquidation
- Leverage can magnify small market moves into large gains or losses.
- Margin requirements can change quickly, including during volatile or illiquid markets.
- A broker or firm may liquidate positions without advance notice when account requirements are not met.
- Stop orders and risk limits may not fill at the requested price and may not cap a loss during gaps, fast markets, outages, or insufficient liquidity.
- Commissions, exchange fees, data fees, spreads, slippage, financing, and taxes can materially affect results.
3. TraderGrade does not reduce or assume trading risk
TraderGrade does not execute, route, approve, monitor, or stop trades. It does not hold funds, enforce a broker’s risk controls, guarantee account protection, or provide emergency market support. A checklist, rule, alert, grade, Coach response, streak, or high Professional Rating cannot prevent a loss.
You are solely responsible for confirming orders, positions, margin, account balances, broker messages, exchange rules, and firm restrictions through the systems that actually control your account.
4. Process scores are not performance claims
TraderGrade grades selected aspects of the process you record—not profitability, investment skill, account safety, or the likelihood of future returns. A strong grade can accompany a losing trade, and a weak process can temporarily produce a profitable outcome.
Grades, ratings, tiers, badges, streaks, coaching observations, comparisons, and public records are educational product outputs. They are not audited performance records, regulatory credentials, endorsements, or guarantees that any account will achieve a particular result.
Completing the 10 Report Card Challenge measures participation in a process-recording program, not profitability, suitability, or trading skill. A valid no-trade Report Card may count because choosing not to trade does not count as a violation. Challenge completion or receiving a Challenge Review is not a performance claim or recommendation to trade.
5. Hypothetical, simulated, demo, and incomplete results
Demonstration accounts, screenshots, examples, seeded product records, calculations, projections, backtests, or other simulated material do not represent actual trading unless clearly identified as actual and verified. Hypothetical results have inherent limitations: they may use hindsight, omit the effect of real financial pressure, and understate or overstate liquidity, slippage, fees, execution difficulty, and the ability to withstand losses or follow a plan.
No representation is made that any account will or is likely to experience profits, losses, grades, ratings, or other results similar to an example. Past performance—actual or hypothetical—does not guarantee future results.
6. Data and technology can be wrong or unavailable
Imported files, manual entries, screenshots, timestamps, classifications, exchange specifications, firm rules, calculations, and third-party data can be delayed, incomplete, duplicated, misclassified, or wrong. Software, networks, devices, providers, brokers, and exchanges can fail or become unavailable.
Review source records and current official rules before relying on information in TraderGrade. Do not use TraderGrade as the only record of an open position, required margin, liquidation level, order status, tax lot, or compliance obligation.
7. Brokers, prop firms, and exchanges have their own rules
Broker, exchange, clearing-firm, evaluation, and funded-account rules can change and may be interpreted or enforced differently by the provider. TraderGrade is not affiliated with or authorized to speak for those providers unless we expressly say so. Verify limits, payouts, consistency rules, prohibited strategies, market hours, contracts, fees, and account status directly with the relevant provider.
8. Use independent judgment
TraderGrade is not financial, investment, commodity-trading, brokerage, tax, accounting, or legal advice. AI-assisted output may be inaccurate or unsuitable. You remain responsible for evaluating all information and for seeking advice from qualified professionals who understand your circumstances.
If you do not fully understand a product, its maximum potential loss, its margin mechanics, and the rules of your account, do not trade it.
